I do other things, too.
It’s never been easy to sum up my work—my interests are wide-ranging, but deeply interconnected. I’ve spent years building community and clients in the field contemplative arts as a healing arts instructor, founding Be Nice Yoga in Detroit. In this role, I’ve worked with the Detroit Lions and the College for Creative Studies for over a decade, blending wellness with marketing and design to support their people.
I also specialize in urban property preservation and revival. In 2016, I persuaded Detroit’s Buildings, Safety Engineering, and Environmental Department to sell me a Craftsman-style home slated for demolition. With support from USFW, the Detroit Bird Alliance, and my community, I transformed it into Astral House Detroit—a multi-unit residence and wellness hub surrounded by native pollinator fields, an evergreen nursery, a young forest, raised vegetable beds, and an apiary. As a certified Death Doula, I’ve provided grief and end-of-life care for under-resourced individuals within these healing spaces.
To me, being a jack-of-all-trades isn’t a limitation—it’s a dynamic, creative way to meet emerging and complex needs with heart and skill.
